Our History
Since inception SISITI have delivered impactful programs on Peace and Governance, Climate Action, Gender and Socio-economic Inclusion; Sustainable Development and Humanitarian & Relief. SISITI’s success is fueled by its extensive network, boasting strong partnerships with local communities, National and County governments, and esteemed non-state actors including humanitarian organizations, reputable financial institutions, private companies, foundations, experts in various fields, research & learning institutions, local CSOs and international development partners.
Governance and Leadership
SISITI is governed through a robust Constitution, By-laws and policy framework that is anchored on best practices in leadership and governance of not-for profit organizations. In addition, governance structures, policy and procedure manuals are institutionalized to steward the organization in a stable, ethical, responsive, transparent and accountable manner.
- The organization has a diverse Board which provides policy direction and oversight. The Secretariat is led by an Executive Director tasked with the day to day running of the organization. The Executive Director (ED) is assisted by a Deputy ED, Programs Officer and Project Staff.
- There is a code of ethics and anti-corruption policy for Board and all staff and proper segregation of duties with clear checks and balances to enable impartial, ethical and effective organizational performance. Consequently, SISITI safeguards its stakeholders through strong governance and complain mechanism.
- The organization has a rich mix of relevant qualifications, skills, work experiences and social capital that propels the organization to deliver on its mandate. Robust M&E system and a culture of performance and continuous improvement is engrained at all levels of the organization.

About Organisation
Conceptualization
SISITI (Simple Ideas for Social Innovation and Transformative Impact) is a dynamic youth-led non-profit in Malindi, Kenya, dedicated to empowering marginalized communities. Our name, derived from Swahili – SISITI (meaning ‘’will not hesitate”) embodies our commitment to decisive action. We address systemic and deep-rooted challenges faced by our local communities especially the youth, women and vulnerable communities fostering positive change and resilience.
Formalization
2020
SISITI was formally established in 2020. It is now a fully-fledged registered CBO that operates in the coastal county of Kilifi in Kenya.
Operation
SISITI delivers its mandate through effective partnership and coordination, data-driven innovative approach, ethical/servant leadership stewardship, sustainability and a cohesive and impactful approach to its mission.
Impact
SISITI has so far empowered a total of 190 mentees with PVE support packages (trauma healing, mentorship and counselling), equipped at-risk youth with livelihood skills, employment/industry linkages, referral to technical and vocational colleges, entrepreneurial skills and seed funds for start-ups; and empowered women, girls and marginalized communities with socio-economic opportunities.

Our ultimately, our goal is to alleviate poverty, improve livelihoods, remove all forms of dependency, deliver self-sufficiency and unlock the human potential of our local communities.
